My Story

I am an emerging bilingual writer and translator, who enjoys straddling her home cities of Tijuana, Mexico and San Diego, California. Daughter of a Spanish Civil War refugee, born in the US, I have worked as a Child & Family Counselor, Creative Advertising Director and Instructional Designer with major IT & medical firms. I earned an MFA in Creative Writing at SDSU and am a collaborator for Poetry International. My digital poem, Border Waters was exhibited in ICIDS 2024 (International Conference on Interactive Digital Storytelling) in Barranquilla, Columbia. I recently completed, unpublished chapbooks, Grendel in the Lake, The Nature of Unfinishidness, and Leaves Barely Showing, and am completing a bilingual manuscript about place. This year,  I am writing wholeheartedly in my native Spanish as while absorbing so much from the Masters de Poesia in the Escuela de Escritores in Madrid.
